How Mosquito Bite Can Kill Thousands of Innocent People

I know you've been hearing about Dengue Fever many times. But let me share my little knowledge and how it can kill thousands of innocent people. Dengue Fever is a disease caused by infected mosquitoes, usually Aedes Aegypti.  Once you are bitten by these mosquitoes, you will suffer from fever, headache, pain behind the eye, joint and muscle pain, and rashes. Dengue Fever is a mild illness or curable if you can consult you doctor immediately before it will get worse. If you ignore it, it will cause Dengue Hemorrhagic (bleeding) Fever (DHF) which can lead to death.

You can recognized the Aedes Aegypti by the white markings on legs. It is originated in Africa but is now in tropical regions in the world.

Normal Mosquitoes usually appear around 5pm in the afternoon, but don't think you are safe. A night biting mosquito can also cause Dengue. A lot of us believe that Dengue Mosquito only bite at day time. But you are wrong, a study conducted and it showed that dengue is also caused by Aedes Albopictus, which is a night biting mosquito. This mosquito is considered as a secondary vector of dengue.

It is advisable for everyone to consult your doctor immediately when you have a fever that's more than 3 days.

Avoid mosquitoes in your house by cleaning your surroundings. It is also recommended to use insect repellent when outdoors, especially during day time.
